Este 8 de Mayo y para conmemora lo que ser\u00eda el cumplea\u00f1os de Saul Bass Google ha lanzado uno de sus famosos \u00abdoodles\u00bb uno de los m\u00e1s completos hasta ahora que incluye secuencias inspiradas en una colecci\u00f3n de los trabajos del\u00a0tip\u00f3grafo,\u00a0dise\u00f1ador\u00a0y cineasta que lo hicieron uno de los m\u00e1s famosos creadores de presentaciones y\u00a0cr\u00e9ditos.<\/p>\n

En 1969 Bass Gan\u00f3 el Oscar por \u00abMejor Cortometraje o Documental\u00bb Why Man Creates. (Porque el hombre crea, 1968).

Bass\u00a0vivi\u00f3 una extraordinaria carrera profesional de 40 a\u00f1os como uno de los grandes del dise\u00f1o\u00a0gr\u00e1fico entre sus clientes m\u00e1s conocidos\u00a0est\u00e1n\u00a0Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, Stanley Kubrick y Martin Scorsese. A Bass se le debe la incomparable secuencia animada que adorno los\u00a0cr\u00e9ditos\u00a0en la versi\u00f3n de \u00abLa Vuelta al Mundo en ochenta d\u00edas\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Hijo de una familia de inmigrantes en el Bronx, Nueva York, Estados Unidos, desde peque\u00f1o fue muy creativo y pasaba muchas horas del d\u00eda dibujando. Bass estudi\u00f3 en el estudio de Artes League en Nueva York y despu\u00e9s en el Colegio de Brooklyn.\u00a0Dise\u00f1\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n el p\u00f3ster para los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Los \u00c1ngeles en 1984.<\/p>\n

Comenz\u00f3 a trabajar en la impresi\u00f3n de anuncios de cine en Hollywood durante la d\u00e9cada de los 1940. Cuando\u00a0en 1954 el director\u00a0Otto Preminger pidi\u00f3\u00a0t\u00edtulos\u00a0originales para su\u00a0pel\u00edcula\u00a0\u00abCarmen Jones\u00bb, Bass\u00a0lo hizo con una rosa encendida como fondo animado cambiando lo que hasta la d\u00e9cada de 1950 fue el m\u00e9todo normal para mostrar cr\u00e9ditos en el cine (presentar los nombres y t\u00edtulos en tarjetas o con un tel\u00f3n de fondo inm\u00f3vil).<\/p>\n

Su \u00faltima\u00a0secuencia de cr\u00e9ditos fue completado para Casino\u00a0con Robert De Niro.<\/p>\n
