Fue uno de los primeros en se\u00f1alar el peligro que implicaba para Alemania el advenimiento del nazismo. Se convierte, junto a Heidegger, en uno de los primeros fenomen\u00f3logos que no respetan a cabalidad el m\u00e9todo del maestro Husserl. Scheler utiliz\u00f3 la fenomenolog\u00eda para estudiar los fen\u00f3menos emocionales y sus respectivas intencionalidades (los valores) y a partir de ellos elabor\u00f3 una muy s\u00f3lida y original fundamentaci\u00f3n personalista de la \u00e9tica: la realizaci\u00f3n de los valores se concretiza en modelos humanos que invitan a su seguimiento.
